This meal is the most important of the year, like our Christmas Eve, and must consist of at least three dishes. The first 5 days of the Chinese year are devoted to visiting relatives and relatives to present them with greetings and gifts for this new year. The New Year's festivities last about 15 days.

Comment fêter le nouvel an chinois ?

Traditionnellement on effectue un grand ménage familial durant lequel on se débarrasse de tout le superflu et en cette occasion on s'offre de nouveaux vêtements pour l'année à venir. Pour chasser les mauvais esprits et appeler la paix et le bonheur sur son foyer on tire des pétards, on décore son logis aux couleurs porte bonheur (rouge et or) et on termine par un repas en famille traditionnellement composé de canard, poulet, poisson, riz gluant, fruits et gâteaux. Ce repas est le plus important de l'année, à l'instar de notre réveillon de noël, et doit être composé de minimum trois plats. Les 5 premiers jours de l'année chinoise sont consacrés à la visite des parents et des proches afin de leur présenter les vœux et les cadeaux pour cette nouvelle année. Les festivités du nouvel an durent environ 15 jours.
